The Beast of Maug Maurai is Alive
When I first published The Beast of Maug Maurai—more than a decade ago—I set it up as a digital-only title. Time and lack of knowledge and a small band of terrorists from an island-nation known as Sock prevented me from releasing print versions of the three books. Recently, I have made some time, filled in the gaps in my knowledge, and negotiated a fair and lucrative deal with the Parlimentary Monarchy of the Independant Commonwealth of Sock. The end result of this painstaking work is the release of The Beast of Maug Maurai trilogy in print. All three books are now available as paperbacks, although, to preserve a sense of symmetry, Book I and Book II are bound together in one volume, and Book III is its own paperback.
The series is a gritty, low-fantasy tale describing a military officer’s journey into a terrifying forest, leading a squad of misfits on a mission to kill the most lethal creature in the kingdom. It has heaps of adventure, some comedy, a healthy dose of romance, and some non-fiction cooking tips. In fact, I plan on releasing a future, non-fiction cookbook called, The Flavours of Maug Maurai in the near future. Alright. That’s not true. There’s not much cooking in the series, and I’m not releasing a cookbook in the future.
At any rate, because the books took so long to get printed, you should definitely buy several copies of each, you know, as a sort of affirmative action purchase. Trust me, it makes sense. Just buy. Thanks!
