"The beginning is always NOW."

Hello world. As threatened promised, I have re-animated the lifeless corpse of my blog. The oxen have dug in their hooves and strained against the yoke, the gears are rotating, and the mill wheels will grind once more.

Let Me Get This Straight…

“You want me to walk around in circles all day, pulling on this heavy-ass yoke that turns this ridiculously big wheel so that you can have toast? Are you even listening to yourself?”

It was not as easy a re-birth as I imagined. The old posts—the scattered velum of my thoughts—had disappeared, had slipped away like dead leaves into the dark sea of cyberspace. Fortunately, there is a mediator between the living and the dead on the internet. A medium named Madame Wayback Machine. With her help I was able to recover portions of my previous postings. I’m still working with her to re-build what I had. I’m missing a lot of posts, and missing some images, but I’ve gotten to a point where I can finally publish again. My apologies for any rough spots, inconsistencies, and the possibility of chronological askew-ness.

Where Do Dead Thoughts go?

They get mashed and shredded and pulped and made into mulch for golf-courses, mostly.

Mostly.

I plan on revealing some new activity on several fronts, including new releases and some interesting and recent developments with my past works. I also plan to discuss writing craft and writing life, and publishing question-and-answer posts where I try to answer questions sent in by readers. The occasional picture of my privates here and there. And, of course, the usual postings of odd things I find and my mad ramblings on the machine that keeps us living in a dream.

Oh, and, yeah, I’ll post a short summary of the events that led to my years-long absence (hint: I was not mashed and shredded and made into golf-course mulch).

If you’re interested in these things (and even if you’re not interested in these things) please sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of this page, and definitely my Facebook Author Page here.

I continue to receive good reviews for my books and still get emails from readers who loved my books. I am eternally grateful to all of you, and hope to release several more works very soon.

Thanks again for remembering me and my books. Your support has been a beacon for me, through a time of uncertainty.
